CBN tasks telecomms operators on internet banking security

 The Governor of  Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr. Godwin Emefiele wants telecommunication service providers to reposition themselves through expanding access to mobile network, ensuring regular mobile service and making the system more secured, among others, to achieve a target of bringing the greater percentage of adult population into the nation's financial system.

Interconnectivity: Telecoms operators agree to settle debts owed one another

(Decenber 9, 2016) Telecoms operators and regulators have resolved to address inter connectivity indebtedness among operators. At a meeting in Lagos between telecoms executives and regulators they also work out ways to ensure  balance in revenue sharing between the operators and value added service providers who use telecom operators platform to send text messages towards boosting broadband penetration.

Lagos assembly begins scrutiny of 2017 budget

The Lagos State Assembly has directed all its standing committees to urgently work on the 2017 proposed budget estimates for the state by inviting Ministries, Departments and Agencies to come and defend their allocations in the proposal.
