Director General and Lagos staff meet on way forward for FRCN

The management of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Lagos Operations and members of staff have brainstormed on ways to tackle challenges facing the organisation with a view to drive the vision of the new leadership of the organisation. At an interactive session in Lagos, between the Director General of FRCN, Dr Mansur Liman and members of staff of Lagos Operations, ideas and suggestions were offered to make the oganisation more relevant in the competitive broadcast industry.

Jail term awaits land grabbers in Lagos

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday fulfilled his pledge of making the menace of land grabbing in Lagos a thing of the past with the signing of the Lagos State Properties Protection Law. Governor Ambode also signed the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps Law, a move aimed at boosting security of lives and property in the state.

Update on efforts to free Chibok girls - FG

(August 15, 2016) The federal government has reaffirmed ongoing efforts to secure theĀ release of the Chibok girls and put an end to the abduction matter. Reacting to the latest video of some of the girls, the Minister of InformationĀ and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said in a statement in Abuja that the government was in touch with those purportedly behind the video.

Lagos state shuts 12 houses as police uncover oil wells

(August 13, 2016) The Lagos State Government has shut 12 houses on Abeokuta and Ibadan Streets in Ilasamaja area of the State over discovery of shallow oil wells built by landlords to illegally scoop diesel from pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

How 3 Nigerian athletes make history at Rio Olympics

(August 10, 2016) At least, three of the Nigerian athletes in the ongoing Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games created records of sorts that will be cherished in a long time to come. The trio with records are two table tennis stars, Segun Toriola and Aruna Quadri as well as Rower, Chierika Ukogu.
